Willie "Bill" (Nix) McCormack

     Ms. Willie “Bill” Agnes McCormack, 97, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on Sunday November 27, 2022, at her home. She was born on May 24, 1925, in Garnett, SC to the late Mr. Victor and Mrs. Rose McKenzie Nix.

     Ms. McCormack was a nurse, employed one year at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA and for ten years at Jasper County General Hospital in Ridgeland, SC. She used to gather pecans before working the 3 -11pm shift at Jasper County General prompting Dr. John Ryan to often tease her about having a “ rubber band back”. Ms. Bill was a member of Ridgeland Advent Christian Church, served as a teacher in Sunday School and Bible School, and was a great cook. She was a loving mother and aunt.

     Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Holly McCormack ,and a host of nieces and  nephews.

     Her family celebrated her life with a private service.
