William Conrad Knowles

     Mr. William Conrad Knowles, 82, of Ridgeland, SC, passed into eternal life on December 28, 2021, at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, SC.  He was born on October 11, 1939, in Yemassee, SC to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Coy and Mildred Smith Knowles.

     Mr. Conrad was a member of Ridgeland Baptist Church where he attended the Seekers Sunday school class and sang in the choir with his beautiful bass voice. He was also a member of the Jaycee’s, played the trumpet, and was a staff member of Ridgecrest Christian Camp. Mr. Knowles served in the United States Army. Having enjoyed a long career in the food industry, receiving recognition as the Top National Sales Manager for eight consecutive years, Conrad and his family retired to his home in Ridgeland, SC.  He was a faithful and caring Husband to his wife Hazel, and a doting and loving Dad to his children.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Hazel Moore Knowles; one daughter, Pam Knowles (Diana); two sons, Chip Knowles, Kevan Knowles; one granddaughter, Ivy Knowles Bates (Scott); one brother, Retired Col. Donald T. Knowles (Elisabeth); and many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by nephew, Donnie T. Knowles, and niece, Kimberly A. Knowles.

     Friends and family of the Knowles’ family are invited to attend the celebration of his life and his homegoing service on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, Ridgeland, SC.  Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the hour of the service at the church.
