Telie Irene Etheridge

     Telie Irene Smith Etheridge of Gillisonville, SC passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022. She was born on March 11,1946 in Hampton, SC to the late Mr. John Herbert and Mrs. Lila Williams Smith.

     Ms. Telie worked as a loan officer for First National Bank in Hardeeville, SC for many years, then worked until she retired as office manager for Margaret Curtis.  She found pleasure in helping people in need and served as a board member of Jasper County Council on Aging. Telie also enjoyed antiquing, baking, cooking, and crafting.

     Left to cherish her memory are her son, Buck Etheridge; two special sons, Poly Morales, Fred Lightsey (Charlene); a special daughter, Stephanie Horry (Eric); special grandchildren, Eric, Gage, Julie, Cierra, Alison; one special great granddaughter, Claire; one brother, John Smith, Jr.; one sister, Barbara Smith; two brothers-in-law, Henry Etheridge (Ellen), Bobby Etheridge (Joann); three sisters-in-law, Sally Bagby, Gloria Singletary (Tim), Genieve Koon; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley G. Etheridge; and one brother, Kenneth Smith.

     A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Sandhill Farms, 10771 Grays Hwy, Ridgeland, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of the service at Sandhill Farms.
