Ronni Wall Obituary

Ronni Capici Wall, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 8, 2026, with her family by her side and surrounded by their love. A devoted Christian, Ronni loved the Lord deeply and placed her faith at the center of her life. Her faith guided the way she cared for and cherished her family, who meant so much to her throughout her life.

Born on August 9, 1947, in Greenwood, South Carolina, Ronni was the eldest daughter of Anthony Joseph “Tony” Capici and Kathryn Elizabeth Capici. She was later joined by her beloved younger sister, Kathryn Anna Capici. Ronni grew up in Greenwood surrounded by a large, close-knit family that remained an important part of her life through the years.

A gifted musician and compassionate caregiver, Ronni began her college education at Lander College as a music major before transferring to the University of South Carolina, where she earned degrees in both Music and Nursing. She later continued her education at the Medical College of Georgia, obtaining a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing.

In the early 1970s, Ronni followed her parents to Hilton Head Island, where she would build both a remarkable nursing career and a beautiful life with her family. Shortly after moving to the Lowcountry, she met and married the love of her life, Weldon Wall. He was the center of her world, and she adored him deeply. Together, they raised their family on Hilton Head Island, creating a home rooted in faith, love, and family.

Ronni was a caregiver both inside and outside of the home, dedicating her life to caring for others with compassion and grace. She first worked at Ridgeland Hospital before joining Hilton Head Hospital, where she became instrumental in the hospital’s growth and development through the years. Her leadership, compassion, and dedication left a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the countless patients and families she cared for. Prior to her retirement in the late 1990s as Director of Nursing at Hilton Head Hospital, Ronni and Weldon moved to the family farm, where they continued building a life centered around faith, family, and love.

Ronni was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Wall, and her parents, Tony and Kathryn Capici.

She is lovingly survived by her five children: Paige Rose (Brian), Nicholas Wall (Tiffany), Dondi Wall (Theresa), Julie Bowman (Barry), and Kendall Malphrus. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Davis and Ellis Rose; Brayden, Nicholas, and Addie Wall; Madison Wall Kirby (Andrew) and Morgan Wall; Christopher Bowman (Kristi), Kyle Bowman (Caitlin), Taylor Malphrus (Heidi), and Hailey Owens (Davis). She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Walker, Jackson, Emma Grace, Jordy, Logan, Blakely, Noah, Genevieve, and Andrew.

Ronni is also survived by her sister, Kathy Porter (Philip), and their family: Anna, Anthony, and Ansley Porter.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to their dear friend, Melanie McGill, and Crescent Hospice for the extraordinary love, compassion, and care shown to Ronni during her last year of life.
