Richard Jennings, Jr.

   Richard Darrel Jennings, Jr., 59, of Ridgeland SC passed away November 9, 2022. He was born on February 13, 1963, in Exeter NH to the late Mr. Richard D. Jennings Sr and Mrs. Muriel Kitteridge Sanborn.

   While proud of his service in the United States Navy and local law enforcement, he was most proud of his family. He enjoyed spending any spare time he had with his grandchildren. If he could help it, he never missed a school program or sporting event. He especially loved spoiling them rotten with over the top gifts, and outings to the beach or on the boat. He was very tender hearted which was further exuded by his love for animals. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend.

     Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Stephanie Gillan (Josh), Alana Tillotson (Marshall); his grandchildren, Landon, Lila, Cal, and Thor. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Jennings; and one granddaughter, Ivey Belle Tillotson.

     A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
