Willard Ravernel DeLoache, 79, of Ridgeland, SC passed away June 26, 2021, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. He was born on July 25, 1941, in Estill, SC to the late Leroy and Jenny Long DeLoach.
After high school, Ravernel joined the United States Air Force, and proudly served as a Military Police officer in the Strategic Air Command unit attached to the Mighty Eighth Air Force. After his military service, he and Robin were married and travelled through life together for fifty-two years, until her passing. During that time, Mr. DeLoache worked for Sheffield Oil Company for seventeen years and loved every moment he spent driving a fuel truck. He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed cooking, and was known for his especially good, boiled peanuts.
Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Chad DeLoache, Chris DeLoache (Joann); one daughter, Cindy Malphrus (Bobby); two brothers, Daniel DeLoach (Mary), Marvin DeLoach; two sisters, Voncile Shipes, Jeanette Crosby (Everette); one sister-in-law, Betty DeLoach; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Robertville Baptist Church, 26 Robertville Drive, Garnett, SC with burial to follow in Nixville Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery, Hampton, SC.
