Rachael Quesinberry Marzio Obituary

Wanda Quesinberry Marzio, 62, passed away September 10, 2025, suddenly in her home. She was born on November 26, 1962 in Walterboro, SC to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Betty Drawdy Quesinberry.

Wanda lived in El Paso, TX in the community of Desert Haven. She moved there to be with her husband Robert Marzio, a helicopter pilot in the Army. Years later, she met the love of her live Raphel Garcia, Sr. They never married, but she spent the next 27 years with him as her partner.

She enjoyed visiting her sister, Debra, in South Carolina. She loved a simple cup of coffee, talking and laughing about the good ole days of the family. The many Red birds at the feeders and in the Bradford Pear tree out back “looked like a Christmas Tree with ornaments,” she said. The church she grew up in, Crossroads Christian, (formally Advent Christian) held a special place in her heart. She attended when she came home. She thought everyone was so warm and made her feel at home. She was very free hearted. Before her passing, all she longed for was to move back home. So much so, that she would look up Eats & Sweets’ special of the day from El Paso.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Debra Q. Malphrus (Randy), nephews, Blake Jernigan (Amy), Mikey Quesinberry, Jr. (Raquel), nieces, Kyli Q. Motes (Emmitt), Kim Cannon (Delos), step niece, Marie Buck (Chris), grand nephews, Logan Q., Zach Buck, Justin Jernigan, Kyle Jernigan, and Logan Jernigan, grand niece,Jaiden McElhaney, stepmother, Gerry Quesinberry, brother in law Ronnie Nettles (Ann), sister in law Laura Quesinberry, her loyal dog, Bill Bailey, and several step children. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Betty Quesinberry, her sister, Susan Q. Nettles, and her brother, Michael H. Quesinberry, Sr.

A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Christian Church at a later date.
