Peggy Ann Enslow, 90, went home to be with the Lord on June 28th, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Columbia, SC on April 14th, 1934. Peggy was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert and Margaret Roller. Peggy was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia (Willie) McGraw, and is survived by her brother, Wilbert (Brother) Roller Jr.
Peggy is also survived by her husband of 64 years, Raymond Stuart Enslow and her daughter, Cindy Enslow Malphrus (Gregg). Grandchildren: Clayton Greggory Malphrus, Noah Bradley Malphrus (Mackenzie), Marshal Dale Malphrus (Whitney), Emelia Mei Malphrus, Abigail Malphrus Moon (Miles), and Timothy Gregg Malphrus. Great Grandchildren: John Anderson Malphrus (Noah & Mackenzie Malphrus) and Lainey Ray Malphrus (Marshal & Whitney Malphrus).
After living in Port Wentworth, GA, Peggy and Raymond moved to Hilton Head Island in1962. Peggy worked on Hilton Head Island for Sea Pines Plantation and Sea Crest Resort prior to having her daughter, Cindy. In later years, Peggy enjoyed working for Belk and she had her own Mary Kay business as well.
Peggy was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was lovingly called “Grandma.” She truly enjoyed her nieces and nephews and loved them like they were her own. Peggy also really enjoyed seeing her great-nieces and nephews.
Peggy loved animals and would have rescued all the homeless ones if she could have. She loved yellow roses. If you would like to honor her by giving a rose bush of any color, we will be happy to plant them in her honor. Funeral services will be held at Okatee Baptist Church, 5467 N. Okatie Highway, Ridgeland, SC 29936, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 11:00 am. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of service at the church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 315 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
