Peggy (Cannington) Cooler

    Peggy Cannington Cooler, 69, of Ridgeland, SC left this world peacefully in her sleep at home on August 25, 2022.  She was born on June 11, 1953, in Eufaula, Alabama to the late Joel Franklin and Rheba Enfinger Cannington.

    As a member of the Great Swamp Baptist Church, Peggy enjoyed many activities and outings with the church during her youth. She then met and married the love of her life, Ken.  After Peggy’s years of employment at Malphrus Construction Company, she became a home maker.  Peggy was a generous, simplistic and loving person, always doing for others.

    Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Jennifer Cooler Tillman; five grandchildren, Jocelyn, William, Ben, Sarah and Joel Everett; three great grandchildren, Brailyn, Kendall and Greyson; three sisters, Martha McMillan, Regina (Joey) Webster and Kathy (Lavarn) Lucas; and a niece and nephews.

    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Reginald Cooler; son, Kenneth Joel Cooler; and niece, Chasity Lynn Smith.

    An interment service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Ridgeland Cemetery, Ingram Street, Ridgeland, SC.   

   Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the organization of one’s choice.
