Paula (Smith) Floyd

     Paula Smith Floyd, 56, of Grays, SC passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC.  Paula was born on July 24, 1962 in Ridgeland, SC to Mrs. Joyce Smith and the late Mr. James Neil Smith.

     Paula was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church in Grays, SC., where she loved playing and coaching softball for the ladies' and children's teams.  She was recently honored for thirty-five years of service with the softball program.  Paula also had an adventurous spirit, enjoyed camping at the beach, was always willing to lend a helping hand, and never seemed to meet a stranger. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

     Paula is survived by her mother, Joyce Smith; three sons, Chuck Scoggins (Terra), Cody Floyd and Neil Floyd; two grandchildren, Daxton and Noel Scoggins; and one nephew, Gerrod Zipperer.  She was predeceased by two sisters, Karen Zipperer and Wendy Smith.

     A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Pine Level Baptist Church, 2009 Pine Level Church Road, Early Branch, SC.  Burial will follow in Pine Level Cemetery.
