Patricia Ann Reid Painter, 77, of Staunton, VA, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2018, in Ridgeland, SC. She was born on July 28, 1941, in Afton, VA, to the late William “Shag” and Virginia “Arlene” Sandridge Reid.
Ms. Painter was a seamstress at Genesco in Verona, VA, for 27 years until Oct 1994. She retired from McKee Foods in Stuarts Draft, VA. She was an avid reader and loved needlepoint, quilting and sewing. Her favorite collectible was her quilts. She and her late husband of 56 years were inseparable; they enjoyed traveling, primarily to Tennessee and Myrtle Beach, SC, along with weekend excursions around the Staunton area.
Ms. Painter is survived by one grandson, Lloyd D. Painter, and one great grandson, Lloyd D. Painter Jr., both of Okatie, SC. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd B Painter, owner of Central Barbershop, and her son, Lloyd B. Painter, Jr.
