Pat Malphrus

Patricia Alice Cusack Malphrus, 86, of Ridgeland, SC, passed away on September 23, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 15, 1938 in Charleston, SC to the late Mr and Mrs Harry G. and Virginia Ambrose Cusack.

Pat graduated from Chicora High School in Charleston, SC. She was a member of Ridgeland Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School class. She retired from Jasper County Building Department and Voter Registration.

Pat loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings at her home. She enjoyed rocking on her patio, bird watching, admiring her azaleas, tending fires in her fireplace, jigsaw puzzles, and watching Survivor or her favorite team, the Atlanta Braves.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Joyce Sapp (Jeffery), Lynn Richardson (Jeff), grandchildren: Trish Bryan (Jared), Tori Bowers (Marty), Jeff Sapp (Liz), Will Richardson (Jordan), great grandchildren: Laynee Bryan (Gabbie), Ellie Bryan (Chase), Ivy Bryan (Shelbi), Keleigh Bowers, Mackie Bowers, Savannah Kelley, Jayden Kelley, Adler Richardson, Reeves Richardson, and brother, Randy Cusack (Sabrina).  She was preceded in death by her husband J. Lavaughn Malphrus and her sister Jean Bean.

Pat was a beloved mother to her girls and a cherished “NaNa” to her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 25, 2024, at 4:00 pm at Ridgeland Cemetery, Hagin Drive and Ingram Street, Ridgeland SC.
