Pamela (Brown) Tolbert

     Pamela Mae Brown Tolbert, 75, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on May 13, 2025. She was born to the late Mr. John  and Mrs. Victoria Berkemeier Brown on April 16, 1950, in Monroe, MI.

     Pam never met a stranger; she would always make everyone who she came into contact with smile and laugh. When you came into her home she made you feel welcomed in her family and most of the time became part of her family that she built. Pam was sure to feed them and love each person. Pam loved  fishing, maintaining her rose garden with Jim, and watching the birds and squirrels from her back porch. Most of the time she would out fish Jim and her brother-in-law Pat. She enjoyed spending time with Jim while playing pool with the LowCounty USA Pool League - USAPL and being their score keeper. She always supplied the team with endless homemade cookies each week. They never knew what flavor they were going to get. She enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren whether it was cookies, haystacks, homemade noodles, or chocolate pancakes.

     Pam’s world revolved around her family, and she loved spending time with them, especially around the holidays. She always tried to have a monthly dinner to get all the family together and surround herself with the ones that she loved dearly.

      Pam is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jimmie “Jim” Allen Tolbert, of Ridgeland; two daughters, Karey Bilyard (Ricky) of Ridgeland, Monice Dara ( Joe ) of Homestead Fl; grandchildren, Tiffany Mitchell (Al) of Ridgeland, John Malphrus (Maria), Matthew Malphrus both of Homestead Fl, Eric Bilyard (Mackenzie), Brittian Malphrus both of Ridgeland SC, Jospeh Dara and James Dara both of Homestead Fl; great grandchildren, Akira, Makayln, and Elijah Mithell, Natilie and Nevaeh Malphrus, Noah Malphrus, Langley Malphrus; several bonus grands and great grands; brothers, Ronnie (Doris) Cutter of Ida MI, George (Sherry) Brown of Hampton SC, Johnny Brown of NC; sister, Jackie Eby of Ridgeland SC; sister-in-law Debbie Belcher, brother-in-law Pat Tolbert both of Ridgeland, several nieces and nephews.

    Pam was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Theresa Cozart, two grandchildren, John Ryan and Brianna Malphrus.

     Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm, on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Praise Assembly of Ridgeland, Carters Mill Road. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm at the church, until the hour of the service. Burial will follow the service at Brown Family Cemetery in Ridgeland, SC.
