Nancy Odum White

Nancy O. White, 84, of Ridgeland, SC passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at her home in Ridgeland, SC surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on February 3, 1936 in Ridgeland to the late Mr. Henry Joab Odum and Mrs. Vera Hodges Stone.

Ms. White worked for 30 years as a clerk for Farmers Home Administration. After retirement she went on to join the team at the Jasper Sun Times as the office manager. There she worked for another 20 years and grew close to her co-workers which became her "work family".  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ridgeland, S.C. and had a great appreciation for art. One highlight in her life was traveling to Italy to tour art galleries and enjoy the beautiful architecture. 

Nancy's favorite pastime was showering her family with love, praise, and encouragement. She was known for her gentle demeanor, kind heart, sense of humor and generous and selfless service to her family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She also adored and enjoyed spoiling her long-time canine companion “Louie”.

Left to cherish her memory are her two devoted children, Charles E. Broxton II (Joy) and Mari Anza Potter (Tim),12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, three brothers Carl "Stoney" Stone (Deloris), Charles Stone (Christine), John Stone (Leah) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who were like family. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 4th, 2020, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC 29936.

Funeral service will be held at Ridgeland Cemetery, December 5th, 2020 at 11:00 AM. All those attending the visitation and funeral service are asked to practice CDC social distancing, and face covering guidelines.
