Myrtis Eleanor (Tuten) Malphrus

Myrtis Eleanor Tuten Malphrus, 90, of Ridgeland SC, passed away on August 5, 2023.  She was born on November 27, 1932, in Grays SC to the late Mr. and Mrs. Morgan and Mae Thomas Tuten.

Ms. Malphrus retired from Georgia Pacific as Payroll administrator.  After her retirement, she worked for Jasper County for an additional 20 plus years.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ridgeland and was fiercely devoted to her family.  Everyone who knew her, knew she had a great sense of humor and enjoyed keeping her yard and house in perfect order.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Deak Malphrus (Resa), Allen Malphrus, (Susan), daughter, Kelly Brantley, Brother, Donald Tuten (Jean), sisters-in-law, Jean S. Tuten, Jean T. Tuten, grandchildren; Deak Malphrus Jr. (Libby), Andy Malphrus (Debbie), Matt Malphrus and four great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, Hubert Malphrus, Sr., and brothers; Heyward Tuten and Marion Tuten.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 315 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA  31404.
