Modesta Mercedes Gonzalez-Perez of Leon, Nicaragua residing for over 51 years in Washington, DC and Burtonsville, MD took her last and final breath surrounded by her beloved family. She is survived by her 4 loving children Lucila Esperanza, Luis A., Fernando, and Martha Cecilia, as well as her 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West Silver Spring, MD on October 25, 2019 viewing 10-11 am, blessing at 11:00 am, final internment at Gates of Heaven Cemetery 13801 Georgia Avenue Silver Spring, MD.
