Missy (Malphrus) Dara

Carla Malphrus Dara “Missy”, 55 of Ridgeland, SC went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2022. Missy was born on July 29, 1966, in Savannah, GA to parents, Larry Seabrook Malphrus, Sr and Shirley Griffin Saxon. She was employed by the Jasper County Assessor’s Office for the past 12 years.

Missy was a loving daughter, sister, and friend, however her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother and grandmother, “Oma”. Missy enjoyed nothing more than to spend time with her girls, grandloves, nieces, and nephews. Missy loved the simple things in life, going to the beach often and relaxing in her chair with a good book and sweet tea.

Missy is survived by her parents, daughters, Nichole Etheridge (Leon), Kylee Stillinger (Caleb), Deidre’ Dara, Jamie Dara (Dustin), and Jadyn Tapley, brother, Larry Seabrook Malphrus, Jr., sister, Danielle Clark (Brandon), and seven grandchildren, Isabella, Colt, Eli, Alayna, Ezrah, Anistynn, and Luca. She also left behind many loving nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by both maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents, as well as two sisters, Robin Lawton and Vivian Dara.

 A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 5:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC 29936. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, Ridgeland, SC 29936. Burial will follow at Great Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, 9009 Tarboro Road, Ridgeland, SC  29936.
