Maureen (Saylor) Malphrus

     Maureen Elizabeth Saylor Malphrus, 92, of Ridgeland, SC passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Ridgeland Nursing Center.  Ms. Maureen was born on June 15, 1926 in Harlan, KY to the late Batey L. and Elizabeth Saylor.

     Ms. Malphrus worked for Ridgeland Hospital for many years and later continued her career privately as a Certified Nursing  Assistant.  She was a prayer warrior and an inspiration to everyone she met.   Ms. Maureen enjoyed singing and dancing.

     Left to cherish her memory are one son, Dwight Malphrus; three daughters, Tiki Garbade, Sherry Rupert (Gary) and Deloris Hughes; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce Malphrus.

   A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Great Swamp Baptist Church, 9009 Tarboro Road, in Ridgeland, SC.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of the service.
