Mary Frances (Nix) Rutland

     Mary Frances Nix Rutland, 68, of Ridgeland, SC passed away April 19, 2018 at her home. She was born on July 3, 1949 in Bamberg, SC to the late Jacob and Annie Dyches Nix.

     Ms. Frances worked as a housekeeper for many years. She loved fishing, cooking, crocheting, and was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

     She is survived by one son, Brad Sandifer (Tammy); one daughter, Stephanie Sandifer; one brother, Gus Nix (Connie); one sister, Alice Reynolds; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her longtime companion, Billy Zahler. She was predeceased by one son, Dan Sandifer, Jr.

     A graveside service will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery in Yemassee, SC on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. A visitation will be held at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

     Memorial donations may be made to Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC 29936, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
