Martha Louise (Griner) Smith

Ms. Martha Louise (Griner) Smith, 78, of Hardeeville, SC passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2020.  She was born in Washington, GA on August 30, 1942, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Mary Louise Smith Griner.

Her family has many fond memories of her during Christmas, which she loved, especially the wonderful meals she enjoyed cooking.  They also looked forward to their many beach outings, that were always sure to be adventurous.  She was a proud homemaker and made sure her house and yard were always in order.  Those who knew her best, “loved” her ability to cause spontaneous laughter, in her innocent way, when she misinterpreted what they said.  Ms. Martha was a member of Ridgeland Baptist Church, she was also a very loving sister, mother, and Nanny.

Left to cherish her memory are one son, Beau Smith (Mendy), three daughters, Cindy Smith (Dave), Melynda Smith, Kim Smith (Tara), one brother, Bobby Griner (K.C. Klingensmith), nine grandchildren, Candis Williams (Alex Cooler), Brandon Williams, Kendall Wills (Dave), Bubba Boyles (Jamie), Kate Harper (Shane), Jacob Nettles, Stone Smith, Hannah Mills (Wesley), Zach Malphrus, and six great grandchildren, Camden, Braylyn, Colt, Rainee, Rylynn, and Lochlan.  One daughter, Teri Nettles preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Ridgeland Cemetery, Ingram Street, Ridgeland, SC.

Those attending the service are asked to practice CDC social distancing guidelines.
