Margaret Benton Thomas

Margaret Benton Thomas, 88, of Hardeeville SC, passed away on November 14, 2023.  She was born in Pritchardville SC, on May 25, 1935, to the late Mr. And Mrs. Asberry and Lilla Cooler Benton.

She loved her Lord very much and enjoyed being active with her Maye River Baptist Church Ladies group, where she was a member for many years.  Her family was very important to her, and they knew she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Left to cherish her memories are her children; Mary Douglas (Dan), Ann Marie Roberts (Dean), grandchildren; Holly, Daniel, David, Andy, Kevin, Jessica, brothers; Tommy Benton (Connie), Arthur Cooler, sister, Dora Sauls and eight great grandchildren.  Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Thomas Jr., son, Landy Thomas, daughter, Brenda Deloach, brothers; Rudy Benton, Billy Benton, sisters; Idell Cooler, Madeline Self and Patricia Benton.

Funeral services will be held at Vaigneur Funeral Home Chapel, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland SC, 29936 on Tuesday November 21, 2023, at 11:00 am.  The family will receive guests from 10:00 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Varnville City Cemetery, 2nd Street, Varnville SC 29944.
