Mamie Lou Simmons Phillips, 91, of Grays SC, passed away on January 21, 2025. She was born on April 12, 1933, in Hampton SC, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Steadman and Lena Smith Simmons.
Ms. Mamie Lou was a faithful member of Pine Level Baptist Church in Grays, and a loving homemaker to her family, and dearly loved raising children.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter: Luann Sauls (Anthony), granddaughter: Mauldin Thomas (Jonathan), sister, Annie Walls, a special nephew, Jeremy Simmons (Amanda), a special niece, Wanda McDaniel, great nieces: Reagan, Riley, Rebecca, great nephew, Reeve, one great granddaughter, Olivia, and a sister-in-law, Leila Bolton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William E. Phillips, and her brother, Jerry Simmons.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday January 26, 2025, at 3:00 pm, at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland SC. The family will receive guests beginning at 2:00 pm until the hour of the service at the funeral home. A burial will follow the service in Grimes cemetery.
