Leland Ira McCormack

Leland Ira McCormack, 70, of Ridgeland SC, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was born on January 23, 1952, in Columbia, SC to Mr. Rudolph and Mrs. Willie “Bill” Nix McCormack.

Leland graduated from the University of South Carolina and enjoyed attending Carolina games during football season. He retired as an inspector for the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control.  He was a member of Ridgeland Advent Christian Church, enjoyed his daily walks around town, crabbing from his dock and attending concerts.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Ms. Willie “Bill” McCormack; one sister, Holly McCormack, and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Rudolph McCormack.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the Ridgeland Cemetery, Ingram Street, Ridgeland, SC. Family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of the service in the cemetery.
