Katherine Annette Marion — Strong, Steady, and Loved Beyond Measure. Born on August 7, 1959, to Jackie Butler and David Brewer in Charlotte, NC, and passed away on July 1, 2026, in Beaufort, SC.
Katherine Annette Marion lived a life marked by strength — the kind built from surviving more than she ever deserved to face. Her path was not easy, and she carried burdens that would have broken a lesser spirit. But Katherine kept going. She pushed through every hardship with a quiet determination that showed just how powerful she truly was.
She loved in her own way — sometimes softly, sometimes from a distance, sometimes through actions instead of words. But her love was real. It showed up in the way she protected her family, in the sacrifices she made without asking for recognition, and in the moments when her guard dropped just enough for you to feel how deeply she cared.
Katherine’s life was not simple, but her heart was steady. She gave what she could, even when she was hurting. She fought for her family, even when she was tired. And she kept showing up, again and again, with a resilience that became one of her greatest gifts.
Katherine is survived by her daughters, each carrying forward a part of her strength and spirit: Sherrie Blackburn, Kristy Lynn, Aspen Sugaree, Ryon Nathanial, Kristen Marie Marion (Frankie Jenkins); granddaughters, Riley Marie Marion, Bailey Atkinson, and Kylie “Ridley” Marie Jenkins, among her other grandchildren.
She leaves behind a large and loving family — children, grandchildren, and great‑grandchildren whose lives she shaped with her resilience, her humor, and her unmistakable presence. Her legacy lives on in their laughter, their strength, and the love they carry forward.
Those who knew her will remember her stubborn courage, her humor that surfaced even in hard times, and the way she could make you feel safe just by being near. She wasn’t perfect — none of us are — but she was real, and she was ours.
Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled. She is missed in every quiet moment, every memory that arises without warning, every place where her presence used to bring comfort. The love she gave — imperfect, honest, and uniquely hers — continues to live on in the people she shaped.
Katherine Annette Marion was strong. She was loved. And she will be missed more than words can ever fully hold.
