Jessie Lee Cleland, II

Jessie Lee Cleland II, 33, of Ridgeland SC, passed away on July 19, 2023.  He was born in Beaufort SC on January 29, 1990, to the late Mr. Jessie Lee Cleland and Ms. Beverly Hodges Cleland. 

He enjoyed listening to music and singing along.  Jessie was an avid fisherman and was a member of Gillisonville Baptist Church.  He adored his son Hayden and loved his family very much.  When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his friends, and being in the woods in Gillisonville. Jessie was also a great handyman.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Beverly Cleland, son, Hayden Cleland, brothers, Jeff Cleland (Jenn), David Cleland, sisters, Angela Cleland (Keith), Ashlyn Cleland, Grandparents; Gene Cleland (Tommie Jean), Miriam Hodges, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Hodges, and grandmother Varner Cleland. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 23, 2023, at 3:00 pm in Gillisonville Baptist Church 10168 Grays Highway, Ridgeland SC 29936.  The family will receive guests from 2:00 pm until the hour of the service at the church.  Burial will be in Gillisonville Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
