James Into, Sr. Obituary

James “Bubba” Nestor Into, Sr., 85, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on March 20, 2023. He was born on March 5, 1938 to the late Mr. William and Mrs. Opal Bellamy Into, in Ridgeland, SC.

After high school Mr. Into served for seven years in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and was a sharpshooter. “Bubba” was a Champion race car driver and raced in the Daytona 500 in the early 80’s. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Mary Into; two daughters, Robin Into Priester, Christy Into Delaney; one brother, Henry Into; one sister, Leanne Into Motes; eight grandchildren, Lyndsey, William, Brian, Amber, Nick, Carson, Sophie, Jack, and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, James Into, Jr.; daughter, Vali Into Black; brother, Billy Into; sister, Jonelle Into Edge; and three grandchildren, Matt, Michael, and Jimmy.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
