Iris "Iry" (Bodkins) Tracy

    Iris Jean “Iry” Tracy, 68, of Early Branch, SC passed away on June 19, 2025. She was born on March 23, 1957, in Walterboro, SC to Harold Edward and Elizabeth Eugenia Garvin Bodkins.

     Iry was a homemaker and was married to “her Sam” for forty-seven years and ten months. She loved working at Wee Care Child Development Center in Beaufort, SC. She found great joy in talking on the phone and vacuuming her home. Iry ‘s biggest joy was her grandbabies, and the frequent lunch dates with them at Cracker Barrel. Full of Love, outspoken, and adventurous, Iry always brightened any room she was in and will be remembered as “the glue of her family”.  She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, momma and grandma.

     Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Sam Tracy; her daughter, Joanna Jones (Godwin); her son, Sammy Tracy (Lynn); her daughter-in-love, Stephanie Jones; her sisters, Sharon Farris, Edith Blocker (Lonnie), Ali Phillips (Grady); ten grandchildren, Chanlee, Andrews, Davin, Kaden, Noah, Harlee, Briar, Chance, Colt, Marlee, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Jean Bodkins, and one brother, Eddie Bodkins.

     The family will have a private service at a later date.
