Mr. Hiram Mack Lowther, Jr., 75, of Ridgeland, SC, passed away on June 21, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Lowther was born on July 8, 1946, in Ridgeland, SC to the late Mr. and Mrs. Hiram M. and Louise Mills Lowther.
Mack was a lifelong hunter and fisherman. He started the Tarboro Hunt Club and enjoyed the youth hunts for young hunters. He was known as the Local Seafood Legend and always met his customers with a friendly smile. He always supported the Shriners Hospital and our local law enforcement. Mack served in the National Guard and thoroughly enjoyed driving the Tanks.
Left to cherish his memory are one son, Hiram "Trey" Lowther III, (Yvonne); three daughters, LaTesha Horry (Aaron), Angela Boyles (Billy), Miranda Graham (Tarl); eight grandchildren, Trenton, Tristan, and Talon Horry, Dean and Devin Boyles, Treyke Lowther, Courtney Resh and Cadence Graham; one great granddaughter, RyLynne; two sisters, Carolyn L. Brown (Jimmie) and Glennie L. Saxon; sister-in-law, Judy Lowther; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda Anita Snapp Lowther; and one brother, Edward Lee Lowther, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at Coosawhatchie Baptist Church in Coosawhatchie, SC on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC 29936 on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at the Sardis Cemetery in Ridgeland, SC.
