Harold "Sput" Long

     Harold David “Sput” Long, 61, of Hardeeville, SC passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Savannah, GA.  He was born in Savannah on November 7, 1957 to the late Jacob A. and Lily Hix Long.

     “Sput” was employed as a truck driver at Cleland Construction, and was an avid outdoorsman who loved being on the water.  He was a loving brother, father and grandfather.

     Left to cherish his memory are his son, Wesley Long (Brittiany); one brother, Jacob Long, Jr. (Ann); one sister, Wanda Evans (Charlie); four grandchildren, Emily Long, McKenzie Clements, Allison Long, and Savannah Clements and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Long was predeceased by his wife, Edna Kay Long and one sister, Glenda Giddens.

     A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Nixville Baptist Church Cemetery, 3915 Two Sisters Ferry Road, Estill, SC  29918.
