Glennie (Lowther) Saxon

Ms. Glennie Lowther Saxon, 81, of Ridgeland SC passed away on November 23, 2025.  She was born in Ridgeland SC on September 12, 1944, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Hiram and Louise Mills Lowther.

Ms. Glennie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended the Ridgeland ward faithfully.  She retired from MAJ Enterprise of Hilton Head where she managed the business office.  Family was an important part of her life, and she loved each of them very much. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life, and she was known affectionately as “Maga”.  In her retirement years she would spend her days on Facebook keeping up with her family and friends through their post.  She also spent many hours doing genealogy.  It brought her a wealth of knowledge that she shared with others.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Jay Saxon (Jodi), sister, Carolyn Brown (Jimmy), grandchildren: Jayson Saxon (Lauren), Jessamy Denton (Charlie), great grandchildren: Grayson Denton, Christian Saxon, sisters-in-law: Judy Lowther, Judy Okeefe, and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Saxon, Jr., brothers: Ed Lowther, Mack Lowther, and sister-in-law, Wanda Lowther.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 917 Grays Highway, Ridgeland, SC.  The family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 am in the Relief Society Room at the church.  The burial will follow the service in Sardis Cemetery.
