Glen Williams, 70, of Beaufort SC, passed away on April 8, 2026. He was born in Beaufort SC on December 7, 1955, to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Spann and Betty Smith Williams.
He retired from Dolphin Head Golf Course as head mechanic. Glen was a self-taught piano and guitar player. He was gifted at being able to modify songs to make them “his own” and play them for his family and friends. Being outdoors was a favorite past-time of his and enjoyed hunting Quail anytime he could. Glen was loved by his family very much, and will be greatly missed by those he left behind.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathy Williams, son, Paul Williams (Gelcys), daughter, Carrie Catterton (Rod), brother, Dennis Williams, sister, Sharon Exley (Carter), grandchildren: Avery Catterton, and Brooke Catterton, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister: Rita Williams Anderson, and Brenda Winterstein.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC. Visitation will begin at 2pm followed by funeral service at 3pm. Burial will follow in Grahamville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 1610 Grays Highway, Ridgeland, SC.29936.
The family acknowledges that Glen did not like suits and ties. He would want everyone to be comfortable at his funeral. Please dress casual.
