Gerald Faye Popp Jr

Mr Gerald Faye Popp Jr, 50, passed away on January 26, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Beaufort, SC.

Gerald was free spirited and free hearted. He would give you the shirt off his back, but would never let you forget what he had done for you, and he was never wrong. You either loved him, or hated him.

Gerald loved hunting, fishing , driving fast, and working on his Oldsmobile, 442 Cutlass. This was one of the first cars he bought and he still enjoyed tinkering with it. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kim Popp, father, Randy Moore; sons, Gerald “Little JJ” Faye Popp III (Stephanie), James Tollin Popp, Stephen Lawrence Switzer; daughters, Cassandra Jealousy Popp, Morgan Naomi Rasmussen; brothers, Kevin Siskoy, Kurt Popp (Vicki), Joshua Popp (Megan); sisters, Brittiany Long (Wesley), Janell Popp; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Debra Schramm Moore.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2:00pm at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC. The family will receive guest beginning at 1:00pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
