George Dewey Floyd, Jr., 87, of Tillman, SC passed away April 27, 2020 at his home. George was born on February 13, 1933 in Tillman, SC to the late Mr. and Mrs. George and Rosa Maude Smith Floyd.
Mr. Floyd worked as an instrument calibrator for Hercules in Savannah, GA. He enjoyed fishing, shrimping, gardening, being outdoors, was an avid golfer, and in his youth, he enjoyed archery.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Floyd; two sons, Jimmy Floyd (Regenea), Billy Barnhardt; three daughters, Denise Edgar, Sherrie Johnson (Jeff), Barbara Ann Nance (Wade); eleven grandchildren, and twenty-five great grandchildren. Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Wells, Eloise Fair; one brother, Grady Floyd; and two sons, Johnny Barnhardt and George Anthony Floyd.
The family will celebrate his life with a private funeral service and burial.
