It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of Leon “Garry” Lamb, who entered his new heavenly body on July 9, 2024, at the age of 78. Garry was a loving husband, father, papaw and cherished friend. His warmth, wisdom and unwavering kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.
He was born December 14, 1945, in Moultrie, GA to the late Burnell and Guy Lamb. Garry worked for the US Department of Agriculture in Florida. He was a true cattleman at heart and enjoyed working cattle and having livestock everywhere he lived. When his country called, he answered, and served the Navy proudly in Vietnam. Garry’s legacy of love, generosity and integrity will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Left to cherish his memory; are his wife of 58 years, Susan “Toni” Lamb, children: Felicia Lamb Scott, (Tony), Ericka Lamb Morgan (Troy), “Skeeter” Lamb (Lisa), grandchildren: Austen Scott (Robin), Cooper Scott (Emily), Garrison Morgan (Brittany), Kyanne Scott, “Gabby” Morgan, great grandchildren: Barrett Scott, and Sister Michelle Lamb Lopez. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Lamb Montero.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 13, 2024, at 10:00 am, at The Farm (family plot at the residence) 414 Five Bar L Lane in Ridgeland, SC. The family will receive guests beginning at 9:00 am at The Farm. Burial will follow the graveside service in the family plot.
