Franklin Altman

     Franklin Erving Altman, 86, of Okatie, SC passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at his home.  Mr. Franklin was born on November 9, 1932 in Ridgeland, SC to the late Lewis and Marion Nettles Altman.

       Mr. Altman was retired from the United Telephone Company.  He was a member of Okatee Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, taught Sunday school and was a sound technician.  He enjoyed working in his yard and was passionate about fishing.  Mr. Franklin spent much of his free time fishing or talking about fishing.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Evonne Altman; one son, Randy Altman (Angela); one sister, Ann McCaskill; and one granddaughter, Lindsay Campbell.  Mr. Altman was predeceased by one daughter, Tamara Kaye Campbell.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Okatee Baptist Church, 5467 North Okatie Highway, Ridgeland, SC.  The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:30 p.m.  A private burial will follow the service at St. Luke’s United Methodist Cemetery in Okatie.
