E. L. Ambrose

     Elliott Louis “E. L.” Ambrose, 91, of Ridgeland, SC passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his home.  He was born on May 1, 1928 in Ridgeland to the late Mack and Pinkie Vaigneur Ambrose. 

     Mr. E. L. owned and operated Home of Flowers from 1949 – 1991 and after that, continued to plant and care for flowers at his home. He was a dedicated member of Great Swamp Baptist Church, where he served as a music director from 1977 – 1987.  He also served as a Deacon, RA Leader, Sunday school teacher and in many other positions in the church.  Mr. E. L. was a prayer warrior and will be greatly missed by his church family.

     Left to cherish his memory are his lifelong friends, Mack and Bonnie Pope, and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

     A visitation will begin at 4:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Great Swamp Baptist Church, 9009 Tarboro Road, Ridgeland, SC.  A funeral service will begin at 5:00 pm at the church, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
