Douglas Tyler DeNagel, 61, of Ridgeland SC, formally of Tonawanda NY, passed away on October 7, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 26, 1959, in Tonawanda NY to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifford and Joy Berwick DeNagel.
After high school he joined the United States Marine Corp, and was always proud of his service to his country. Doug was an automobile enthusiast and especially loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. He made the automobile industry his career and retired from Sunset Motors as General Manager. Doug was loved by everyone who knew him, especially his family. He adored his grandson Travis and cherished the time they spent together. After moving to Ridgeland SC he joined and became active in Ridgeland Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karla DeNagel, daughter: Courtney Ball (James), "adopted" daughter Jessica Palmer, grandson Travis Turner, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Cynthia Sheehan.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland SC. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
