Doris Livina (Cooler) Nelson

Mrs. Doris Livina Cooler Nelson, 77, of Ridgeland SC passed away on August 12, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She was born on June 8, 1945 in Ridgeland SC to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Catherine Sauls Cooler.  

Mrs. Doris was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed being a homemaker for her family.  Sewing was a favorite pastime and she enjoyed making clothes for others to enjoy.  She also loved collecting angels and doing crafts.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Pete Nelson, four sons: Edward Nelson (Franci), Mitchell Jones (Debbie), Larry Tessier (Cindy), James Nelson, four daughters: Patti Sorenson (Craig), Rose Pierce (John), Judy Deloach (William), Linda Sikes (Bob), twelve grandchildren: Jeffery, Krissy, Christopher, Sarah, Josh, Trish, Jenny, Ashley, Roger, Tiffany, Miley, Alexas, thirteen great grandchildren: Chase, Bethany, Jessica, Abigail, Kaitlynn, Emily, Dixie, Justin, Kyle, Logan, Addi, Ali, Emma, several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, one brother, Johnny Cooler (Laurie), and a special niece and nephew: Doug and Bonnie Cook.  She was predeceased by one son Peter Nelson III.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland SC 29936.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service in Ridgeland Cemetery, Ingram Street, Ridgeland SC.
