Diane (Darby) Evans

Diane Darby Evans, 73, of Ridgeland, South Carolina passed away peacefully in her home on November 21, 2022.

Diane was born on May 24, 1949, the third daughter of Jack and Gerry Darby in Anderson, South Carolina. Diane graduated from T.L. Hanna High School in 1969. For many years, Diane worked in various banking and human resource related positions on Hilton Head Island and in Ridgeland, SC. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a devout Christian woman that enjoyed reading and being with family more than anything. 

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ed Evans, Jr., her son Brent (Shelby) of Mount Pleasant, SC; granddaughter Lillian and grandson Ellison (the loves of her life); sister Sue (Sam) Moss; brother-in-law Rob (Jill) Evans; niece Stephanie (Mark) Paris; nephew Stephen Moss; great niece Leila Paris; and several cousins. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Kay Forrest, and in-laws Ed, Sr. and Paddy Evans and countless other loved ones.

Memorial donations may be made in Diane's memory to The Friends of Pratt Memorial Library P.O. Drawer 1540 Ridgeland, SC 29936 where Diane was a longstanding, committed volunteer or to Ridgeland Advent Christian Church P.O. Box 369 Ridgeland, SC 29936 where Diane and Ed regularly attend.

The family is having a private committal service at Beaufort National Cemetery and will receive guests at their home at 347 Wellington Loop, Ridgeland, SC on Friday December 2, 2022, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
