He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with each one. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an owner of Malphrus Construction for over 40 years. He, along with his family, cleared some of the first roads on Hilton Head Island. He ultimately continued on with his children to complete projects on the East coast from Maryland to Florida and throughout the Caribbean. He was an avid Clemson Tiger and loved attending football games with his family. Later in life, after retirement, Dale was happy to combine two of his passions: family and construction; working with multiple generations building Riverfield, a successful duck club that aided in the conservation of the Ace Basin.
Dale loved the Lord and served Him in various areas of church life. Dale was a member of Family Bible Fellowship, and previously served as a deacon at Great Swamp Baptist Church, Ridgeland Baptist, and Community Bible Church.
Most importantly, Dale prayed that each of his children and children’s children would trust Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
