Brenda Ivey

     Brenda Carol Ivey, 80, of Ridgeland, SC, formerly of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born on January 17, 1945, in Winston-Salem, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Lewis M. and Alberta Brandon Reid.

     Ms. Brenda retired from AT&T after a career in circuit board production, then worked for Sam’s Club for ten years in customer service. She loved cooking, and growing vegetables to can for the winter. She was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother.

     Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Annette Sexton (Curt), sister, Kathy Sue Cook (Chris), niece, Casi Murdaugh (Sean), nephew, Trey Hayes (Lindsey), and grandchildren, Christopher and Jeffery Sexton. She was predeceased by her husband, James Ivey, and her sister Marion Ann McKenzie.

     A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am, until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory, 6135 Ridgecrest Road, Winston-Salem, NC  27103.
