William “Bill” Frampton Stanley, Jr, 70, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on September 10, 2020. He was born on June 18, 1950 in Beaufort, SC to the late Mr. and Mrs. William and Grace Woods Stanley.
Bill was a self-employed Construction Consultant for many years, and he also enjoyed being involved with local sports. He was the “Voice” of the Thomas Heyward Rebels, calling many games over the years, and coaching baseball, at the school, from 1988-1994. Local children also benefited from his willingness to coach Ridgeland Little League baseball and football. Hunting was a passion of his and he was a member of the Tarboro Hunting Club for 40 years. Helping others was always part of his life. He served in the United States Air Force from 1969-1973 and later as a State Trooper for South Carolina Highway Patrol from 1974-1976. Bill led the Hardeeville Marine Rescue Squad, as Skipper, and was a lifelong Mason.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amanda Stanley; two sons, Billy Stanley and Clay Stanley (Cece); one daughter, Jessie Stanley; six grandchildren, Jordhane Stanley, Carolina Stanley, Island Stanley, Bodi Stanley, Asher Stanley, and Aaliyah Swint; and two sisters, Linda Greene and Janice Fier.
A graveside service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the cemetery.
