Arnold “Benny” Benjamin Hankins, 85, of Grays SC, passed away on May 20, 2024. He was born on September 27, 1938, in Tupelo MS., to the late Mr. and Mrs. Arnold and Beatrice Taylor Hankins.
Benny was a retired millwright from Elliott Sawmill in Estill SC. He was an avid racing fan and a “Jack of all trades”. Woodworking was a passion of his, and he was an accomplished craftsman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Hankins, son, Phil Hankins, daughter, Samantha Hankins Brown (Jamie), grandchildren: Krystal Hankins, Brittany Hexamer (Timber), great grandchildren: Ansley Clegg (Dylan), Isabel, Lukas, Indie Hexamer, brother, Donnie Douglas, sister-in-law, Shirley Bailey and one soon to be great-great grandchild Clegg. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Bobby Hankins, Ricky Majors, Wayne Bailey, sister, Shirley Ahler, sister-in-law, Pat Hankins, and brother-in-law, Chuck Ahler.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Spirit of Life Ministries, 235 Chanel Drive, Varnville SC, 29944.
