Benjamin Alexander Smith

Benjamin Alexander Smith, 48, of Grays SC, passed away on June 2, 2023.  He was born on July 26, 1974, in Hampton SC to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Franklin ‘’Frank” and Sally Jo Donaldson Smith.

Benjamin was a member of Nixville Baptist Church and a devout Christian.  He worked as a telephone cable splicer for many years.  He was an avid Carolina Gamecock, Atlanta Braves and Miami Dolphins fan. His family was a very important part of his life, and he was a loving son, brother, uncle and a friend to all.

Left to cherish his memory are his father, Frank Smith, sister, Tammy Malone, brothers; Richard Smith (Barbara), Michael Smith (Jennifer), Matthew Smith (Jonnie) and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in Death by his mother, whom he loved dearly, Sally Smith, sister, Angie Griner, and brother, J.D. Smith.

The family would like to say a special thank you to to Benjamin's caregivers; Mary Little and Aunt Elaine Ginn.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 7, 2023, at Nixville Baptist Church, 3915 Two Sisters Road, Estill SC, 29918.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am at the church until the hour of the service at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in Sandy Run Cemetery, Sandy Run Road, Hampton SC.
