Beckett Horry

     Madison Beckett Horry, 26, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on September 18, 2023. He was born on May 3, 1997, in Rota, Spain where his father was serving in the Navy.  He spent his early years in Pensacola and Jacksonville, FL and moved to Okatie, SC when he was 8 years old. He attended schools in Bluffton, SC.

     Those who met him were charmed by his unique ability to connect and listen. He was known for his intense convictions and infectious laugh. He enjoyed playing chess and was an avid fisherman and spent time on local ponds and rivers whenever possible.  He joined Horry’s Water Well and worked with cousins and on the rig with his uncle John Horry. The last few months of his life were brightened by his adoring love of his infant daughter Calliope Rainne Horry.   A son, brother, father and friend who will be greatly missed.

     Left to cherish his memory are Calliope’s mother Jocelyn Tillman, mother Lynne Fickling Horry, father Malcolm Horry, sisters Megan Sells (John), Paige Breshike (Christopher), Sterling Cooler (Thomas), Isabeau Horry (James), Delainey Horry, brother Etienne Horry (Jessica) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

     A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Church of the Holy Trinity, Grahamville, 2718 Bees Creek Road, Ridgeland, SC. Interment will follow the service at Grahamville Cemetery, 3234 Smiths Crossing, Ridgeland, SC.
