Barbara (Williams) Richardson

     Barbara Williams Richardson, 83, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away on July 18, 2024. Ms. Richardson was born on November 17, 1940, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Douward Travis and Mary Paul Dunn Williams.

     Ms. Richardson and her late husband, William D. Richardson, Jr. resided in Blairsville for 38 years. She was a member of Old Union Baptist Church of Young Harris, Georgia, where she served faithfully for many years. Ms. Richardson was the office manager of Pappalardo Development Company, located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, for many years. She enjoyed volunteering for Relay for Life, Toys for Tots, and church missions. She was a loyal, die-hard Atlanta Braves fan and a lifelong Gone with the Wind enthusiast, collecting memorabilia for years.

     Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jeff Richardson (Lynn); grandson, Will Richardson (Jordan); great granddaughters, Adler and Reeves Richardson, all of Ridgeland, South Carolina; a special niece, Chrystal Williams Armstrong of West Monroe, Louisiana; a sister, Debbie Williams of Columbus, Georgia; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Richardson Barker of New Jersey. She was preceded in death by brothers, Pete, Bo, and Mike Williams.

     A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 12:30 pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia, officiated by Pastor Ricky Rogers.
