Angelina (Monistere) Chavers

Angelina Monistere Chavers, 84, of Ridgeland, SC passed away September 21, 2020 at her home.  She was born on April 12, 1936 in Hammond, LA to the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonardo and Josephine Nicolosi Monistere.

Ms. Chavers was the widow of the late Reverend Arthur E. Chavers, was a homemaker and loved gardening.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Jackie Chavers (Donna), Eddie Chavers, Tim Chavers, one daughter, Deborah Metcalf (Don), eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two sisters, Lou Guerra and Leona Lingo.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Gospel Lighthouse Church, 131 Carters Mill Road, Ridgeland, SC.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

 A graveside service and burial will be held at 12:00 pm, on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Briar Patch Cemetery in Loranger, LA. Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Highway 36, Covington, LA 70433 is assisting the family with arrangements.
