Glenda Gail (Crosby) Stodghill

Glenda Gail Stodghill, 67, of Hardeeville, SC passed away peacefully June 14, 2017, at home surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Savannah, GA on October 28, 1949.

     Glenda was a life time resident of Hardeeville, SC and a graduate of Hardeeville High School.  She attended the Baptist College of Charleston, SC and graduated from Armstrong State College in Savannah, GA.

     The three greatest loves of her life and what kept her going, were her grandchildren, Chase Stodghill, and Tori and Brooklyn Denmark.

     Glenda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Mike Stodghill; two daughters, Michelle Denmark (Benny) and Misty Stodghill; one son, Michael “Bubba” Stodghill (Heather); five grandchildren, Chase, Tori, Brooklynn, Ben and Sam; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Gay; sister-in-law, Sharon Crosby; many nieces and nephews; and her childhood best friend/caregiver, Deidra Parrish.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Edna Bradley Crosby; a sister, Bonnie Hubbard; a brother, Ray Crosby; and a niece, Lynn Crosby.

     A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Maye River Baptist Church, Bluffton, SC with burial following in Bluffton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
