Larry Sanders

Mr. Larry Cail Sanders, Sr., 81, of Hardeeville, SC, passed away on February 20, 2024.  He was born in Sylvania, GA on January 23, 1943, to the late Mr. and Mrs. David and Gwen Davis Sanders.

Larry retired from the Georgia Department of Labor as a supervisor.  After his retirement, he owned and operated Savannah Home inspection service.  He enjoyed playing golf, watching baseball, fishing and loved going to the beach.  The Carolina Shag was his favorite dance and was a long-time member of a shag club.  To his family, he was larger than life and was always looking for the opportunity to pull his next joke.  While in the nursing home, he became the nursing home “terror”.  They never knew what to expect next, but true to fashion, he kept them on their toes.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Sanders, son, Larry “Bubba” Sanders, Jr. (Tina), daughters: Kris Lindeman (Bob), Carrie Grajeda, Dana Brosman (David), Melissa Guardino (Keith), sister, Harriett Ebberwein, sister-in-law, Barbara Sanders, grandchildren: Judith, Morgan, Alyssa, Christopher, Nicolas, Abbie, Liam, Courtney, Taylor, Ansley, Bricelyn, Brinson, Kristyn, Brooklyn, and seven great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his three brothers, David, Roblyn, and Loy Sanders.

The family would like to thank the staff of Bloom at Belfair in Bluffton for their exceptional care and Crescent Hospice for their support of Larry and his family until the end.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
