Virginia Floyd Wells

Lorena Virginia Wells, 86, of Tillman, SC, died February 8, 2017 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC. Ms. Wells was born on November 8, 1930 in Ridgeland, SC to the late George D. and Rosa Maude Floyd.

Ms. Wells was a receptionist for Johnson Lane Brokerage Firm. She was a member of Tillman Methodist Church where she was the pianist for over forty years. Ms. Wells was a member of the Ridgeland Senior Center and enjoyed entertaining the residents at Ridgeland Nursing Center as well as other venues around town. She loved to travel and worked two summers in Yellowstone National Park and spent several summers in Panama City, FL. She was a pole watcher and a member of Jasper County Republican Party.

Ms. Wells is survived by two sons, Ted D. Wells (Pam) and Stan Wells (Linda); two daughters, Connie Wells and Marie Wells (Robert Branham); one brother, George Floyd, Jr. (Carolyn); and one grandson, Kip Berry.

A visitation will be held from 12:30pm -2:30 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC. A Graveside Service will be held at Floyd Cemetery at 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2017.
